Machining to drawing and metal fabrication

The workshops that build our special-purpose machines also work for you: machined parts and fabricated assemblies, as one-offs or small batches, made to your drawings.

Why entrust us with your parts

A machine builder's workshop, at your service

We machine and weld every day for our own machines. Your parts benefit from the same equipment, the same welders and machinists, and the same standards.

  • To your drawings

You send us your drawings or 3D files. If a detail raises a question, our design office calls you before starting production.

  • One-offs and small batches

From a single part to a small batch: prototypes, spare parts, tooling, welded assemblies.

  • Machining and welding together

Cutting, welding, machining and painting under one roof: a complete assembly delivered finished, with no transport between subcontractors.

  • A local workshop

In Saint-Romain-de-Popey, between Lyon and Tarare, in the Rhône area of France. You can come and see your parts and talk to the people who make them.

Machining to drawing

Precision mechanical parts, produced on our CNC machine tools.

Machining of a mechanical part
  • CNC turning

Rotational parts: axles, shafts, bushes, spacers, rollers.

  • Long-bed turning

A 4-metre conventional lathe for long parts: machine shafts, rollers and cylinders.

  • Milling on a machining centre

Milling, drilling and tapping in one setup: plates, brackets, housings, shaped parts. Hurco 3-axis vertical machining centre, travels 762 × 508 × 610 mm. An Alcera conventional milling machine completes the workshop for rework and one-off parts.

  • Wire EDM (electrical discharge machining)

Complex shapes and sharp corners, including in hardened steels, with no cutting force or distortion. Travels 300 × 200 × 150 mm.

Metal fabrication and welded structures

Cutting, bending and welding: frames, machine bases, housings and welded assemblies.

Welding of a metal assembly
  • Plasma cutting

Sheet metal is cut on a CNC table, format 1,500 × 3,000 mm, up to 38 mm thick.

  • Shearing

4-metre guillotine shear, for cutting sheet metal straight before bending or welding.

  • Bending on a CNC press brake

Stilmax PPH 2090 CNC hydraulic press brake: 90 tonnes, 2,100 mm bending length, 3-axis back gauge. Bends are repeatable from one part to the next, from one-offs to batches.

  • TIG welding

Clean, precise weld beads with no spatter. For stainless steel, aluminium, thin sections and parts that are visible or intended for the food industry.

  • MIG / MAG welding

Fast and productive: the standard process for welded frames, machine bases and thick steel sections.

  • Laser welding

1,500 W laser station: very little distortion, fine and even weld beads, less finishing work. Particularly suited to thin sheet metal.

Finishing and surface treatment

Your parts leave finished: a single order, from raw sheet to a part ready to fit.

  • Glass bead blasting

Glass microbeads are blasted onto the surface in a high-pressure cabinet. This removes manufacturing and welding marks and gives stainless steel a uniform satin finish that is easy to clean.

  • Electrolytic passivation

Pickling and passivation of weld seams on stainless steel, using a Cleanox VI electrolytic weld cleaner: heat tint is removed and the protective layer of the stainless steel is restored, so that it regains its corrosion resistance. An important point for the food and medical industries.

  • Painting

A very large booth, to paint frames and complete assemblies in the colour requested and give them lasting corrosion protection.
