Shrimp fritter coating line
Making shrimp fritters involves coating the shrimp in a liquid batter and then frying it. Our customer relied on operators who coated each shrimp by hand, by dipping, before placing it on a belt that carried it into an oil bath.
Productivity was limited by the number of operators, the repetitive movements could cause musculoskeletal disorders, and the amount of batter applied was hard to control.
> 3 000 / hrate achieved thanks to full automation of production
- Shrimp picking by robotic vision
- Weight estimated by vision, so that the right amount of batter is applied
- Robotic arm for coating, then feeding into the fryer
